OUR HISTORY
It was in 1960 that our story began. At that time the salon, known as Figaro, was only a barber and was located on the main street in Hull. At the opening of the Galeries de Hull, Mr. Benifto Schiffo, the original owner, moved the salon and became one of the first shops inside the shopping centre.
FROM ONE OWNER TO ANOTHER
In 1990, Mr. Schiffo sold his salon to the current owner, Mr. Morissette. The latter worked more than 30 years in the salon before thinking of buying it. Being long-time friends, the two allies made the transition a real success.
FROM JUST A BARBER TO A MIXED SALON
Since its opening, the salon has evolved greatly from 690 to 3000 sq. ft., and from a dozen employees to almost thirty. In addition, shortly after his acquisition, Mr. Morissette expanded his store and the salon's horizons by creating a specially designed section welcoming women.
This is how Le Figaro became Salon de Coiffure Figaro Figar-Elle, which is known as one of the oldest hairdressing salons in the Gatineau region.
